City Walk I

In my never ending quest to get outside more, I went for a photo walk with Aerie. I am testing and pushing myself to use my Fujifilm x100S more often, as I bought it in 2014 and have maybe went on two road trips with it. So off we went, as the sunset, climbing over the small hills and frozen banks of snow. I walked an hour with her, and we went over the Circle Drive Bridge, which was my first time officially ever walking across a bridge in this city.

I kind of wished it had better graffiti under there.

That mural is so safe.

As I walked, I laughed to myself and tried to shake off my irritation. Walking up North, in the solitude, is amazing. Walking around Vancouver Island, is calming, with ocean breezes and the forest beside you. Walking around the city – you can’t escape the noise of traffic. The cement. The ugly brown of a warm winter.

Next time, we will walk Wanuskewin.
